Capacities of Eco Kraft Drums by Industry

Choosing the right capacity for a industrial drum is no trivial matter: it directly affects storage efficiency, logistics costs and regulatory compliance in the transport of industrial products. Each sector has different requirements, and not all sizes meet those requirements in the same way.

At Joaquín Alberto, we work with the leading brands on the market, offering both new and reconditioned drums, and in this article we look at the most common types and the criteria that will help you make the right choice.

Available capacities: 30 to 75 litres

ECO Kraft drums are manufactured with a fixed diameter of 360 mm and a variable height ranging from 330 to 680 mm, allowing the final capacity – between 30 and 75 litres – to be adjusted to the exact volume required by each customer.

Compact formats (30–40 L): ideal for small quantities of product per unit: cosmetics and personal care products (powders, salts, extracts), industrial samples or batches requiring strict traceability. Easy to handle and space-efficient in storage.

Medium-sized containers (50–60 L): the perfect balance between capacity and manoeuvrability. Widely used in the chemical industry (bulk, in approved containers) and in the food industry (dry and semi-liquid ingredients).

Large formats (up to 75 L): designed for higher-volume production, allowing you to optimise the number of containers per batch and make better use of space on the pallet.

Factors to bear in mind

When choosing the right capacity and format, it is worth considering several key factors that make a difference to your day-to-day operations:

  • Quantity of product per batch or order, to make the most of each container.
  • Type of content: solids, powders or semi-liquids, as each is best suited to a specific format.
  • Logistics and palletising height (330–680 mm) are key to optimising warehouse and transport space.
  • The packaging is designed to make it easier to recycle, thereby straightforwardly closing the loop at the end of its useful life.
  • Brand customisation options that reinforce your company’s identity with every delivery.

Taking these factors into account right from the start will help you choose the drum that best suits your product and your way of working.

Packaging that is also kind to the environment

Choosing an eco-kraft drum brings measurable benefits: an estimated annual reduction of 580 tonnes of CO₂ and 766 tonnes of waste (based on 400,000 units), along with a 24 per cent increase in renewable content, thanks to domestic manufacturing powered by 100 per cent green energy.
