Cosmetorium 2026

Cosmetorium is celebrating its tenth anniversary in style. On 21 and 22 October, La Farga in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat will host the most ambitious edition in its history: over 170 participating companies and 7,000 square metres of exhibition space – figures that far exceed the record set in 2025, when the fair brought together 3,500 professionals and 140 exhibitors.
From trade fair to barometer of the sector
What is interesting about Cosmetorium is not just its size, but the shift it has made towards technical content. It is no longer merely a venue for business networking: it has become a fairly reliable indicator of the direction in which Spanish cosmetic science is heading.
This year’s event will feature four conference rooms and a total of 47 TechFocus sessions focusing on ingredients, advanced formulation and new technologies, as well as a further fourteen sessions focusing on business and market trends.
That balance between the laboratory and the market is, ultimately, what explains the format’s success: under one roof, the cosmetic chemist searching for the latest biotechnological active ingredient works alongside the procurement manager who needs to finalise deals before the end of the year.
Innovatorium, the showcase for trends
The Innovatorium zone remains one of the main attractions. It will feature thirty stands where leading companies will showcase their latest developments, ranging from biotechnology assets to next-generation sun protection and formulations for increasingly personalised cosmetics. It is probably the best place at the entire trade fair to get a glimpse of what will shape the market in the coming years.
Awards and guided tours
Also taking place are the Cosmetorium Awards, now in their ninth year, which recognise the most innovative proposals presented by exhibitors, and the Cosmetorium Tours, now in their third year, which offer guided tours of the exhibition area for those who prefer not to get lost amongst so many stands.
This is a detail that shows how the organisation is increasingly focusing on the visitor experience, rather than just the square metres sold.
Why this edition matters
Cosmetorium’s growth is driven not only by the dynamism of the Spanish cosmetics industry, which is gaining ground in terms of exports and technical reputation in Europe, but also by its successful positioning as the leading forum for formulation, manufacturing and distribution in the domestic market.
For anyone working in product development, regulatory affairs or brand strategy, this anniversary edition – with a record number of exhibitors and record exhibition space – looks set to be one not to be missed.
